We are building the structure of the game now, the confirmed story beats, characters, regions and systems, so that the moment GTA 6 launches we can turn each framework into real step-by-step walkthroughs, gold-medal objectives and a full 100% completion checklist.
We treat this like a case file. Every claim on the site is labelled with a status. CONFIRMED means Rockstar Games has officially shown it. UNCONFIRMED means it comes from leaks, datamines or community estimates and has not been confirmed. We never present a rumour as fact, and we never put words in Rockstar's mouth.

What is confirmed about GTA 6
A handful of facts are locked in because Rockstar has shown them directly, in the official trailers and on the Rockstar Newswire. These are the load-bearing facts the rest of this hub is built on.
- Platforms Confirmed PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S only. This is a current-generation, console-first launch. Rockstar has not announced a PS4, Xbox One or PC version.
- Release date Confirmed 19 November 2026. Rockstar has confirmed the launch date for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S.
- Setting Confirmed The game is set in the State of Leonida, a fictional take on Florida, with Vice City as its main metropolis.
- Protagonists Confirmed Two playable leads, Lucia Caminos and Jason Duval, in a Bonnie-and-Clyde style story. You switch between them.
- Publisher Confirmed Developed and published by Rockstar Games.
- Price and editions Confirmed Pre-orders opened on 25 June 2026. In the US the standard edition is $79.99 and the Ultimate Edition is $99.99 (Take-Two, 24 June 2026).
- Pre-load Confirmed Digital pre-orders can pre-load from 12 November 2026. The boxed edition contains a download code and is also out on 12 November so it can be pre-loaded.
- How missions play Confirmed The 27 August 2026 "Extended Look" showed that missions can be played as Jason or Lucia, together or separately, with switching during a mission (VGC).
That is the confirmed picture as of 25 October 2026. Still missing: a mission count, an official map size in square kilometres, an install size and any date for an online mode. Those stay under an "Unconfirmed" label until Rockstar or the game itself settles them.

The story so far
Rockstar's reveal sets up a clear premise. Lucia Caminos is introduced leaving Leonida Penitentiary, looking for a fresh start. Jason Duval is a former soldier scraping by in the Leonida Keys. The two come together, an easy score goes wrong, and they are pulled deeper into the criminal currents of the State of Leonida. That is the confirmed frame of the story.
What we do not know is the chapter structure, the number of main missions, or how the ending plays out. You will see leaked claims about a five-chapter structure or a "100+ missions" count, and we cover them, but every one of those carries a Unconfirmed tag because Rockstar has confirmed none of them. That honesty is the whole point.
